JUSTICE STATISTICAL ANALYSIS TOOL

TRANSFORMING THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA JUSTICE SYSTEM

The District of Columbia Justice Statistical Analysis Tool (DC JSAT) was developed by the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC), in collaboration with District of Columbia justice system agencies, to connect the public with information on trends and statistics regarding public safety in the District. The data available on the DC JSAT provides a snapshot of the current level of activity in the District’s justice system via Justice System At-A-Glance, as well as trends in the justice system via Interactive Data, which can be filtered by a variety of demographic and geographic factors. DC JSAT also includes a Catalog of Publications from contributing justice system agencies to read about current and historical research, analysis, and justice system trend.

District of Columbia Justice System Interactive Data

JSAT was established in September 2018 to provide the public with access to statistics and information about crime and justice system operations in the District of Columbia. This website enables users to view and interact with publicly available data at each stage of the criminal justice and juvenile justice systems. JSAT has been designed for the public to learn about justice system activity across the District as a whole, and it offers the ability to filter on geographic information (e.g., Ward and neighborhood) and demographic information such as race, age group, and gender.

Information made available in the DC JSAT Public Portal is the result of a collaborative effort of the District of Columbia’s federal and local justice system agencies.
